Hi Sophie, Wow this brings back wonderful memories of the summer of 84. My goddaughter, Nicholas’ daughter found up your site…I have just sat here reading it through… it was so good..Nik is now married with three grown up children, Jake nearly 21, Elicia, 18 and at Brighton Uni and Izaac 16 who is studying Photography at Coventry College. They are all based in Coventry but do get up to see us here in Norfolk. We moved from Norwich in 85 to a rural retreat just out side of Dereham. It is so good to hear from you! Was it really the summer of 1984? I thought it was 1983. All the kids were aged 13 – so yuou will know. You were so gracious and so patient about the filming and all it entailed. We must have turned your lives upside down. Do you reckon Nicholas benefitted from being in the serial? He seemed to grow in confidence and bearing while on set – and we did have fun. Did the boys manage to keep up their friendships? A few years later Peter Markham, our Production Manager, gave me the devestating news of Jake Coppard. I am still grieving.
I have one photograph of you in costume with your little girl, wearing a yellow dress. I’ll have to find a way of including in in my story.
You must tell me what Nicholas is doing now. I can’t believe he has three grown children of his own.
